    What exactly is "Palestinian culture"? Palestine was the name given to the area ruled by British mandate, but that encompassed both Palestine and Transjordan, which covers the area which is now Gaza, the West Bank, and Jordan. Isn't this just Jordanian culture?

    • @punchgod
      @punchgod 22 години тому

      The culture relating to the area known as historic Palestine. The name of Palestine pre exists the British mandate, and that location between the river and the sea is rich with culture specific to that area.

    • @obliviouz
      @obliviouz 22 години тому

      @@punchgod There's nothing specific about it- it was the same culture on both banks of the Jordan River, like the Nile or the Euphrates - it was just Jordanian culture.

    This soup is delicious. I have tried many different vegetables in it . I've put an entire head of cabbage in it , bell peppers and squash. Literally any vegetables that are in my house that I'm not needing at the time. It's always extremely good 👍

    I've made these a bunch using a very similar gas fired pizza oven but was getting too much browning on the dough. If anyone else is having problems recommend simply dropping the sugar from the recipe and adding a little extra flour to compensate for the loss in dry ingredients. I've also upped the hydration from 50 to 55% and found the dough to be a lot more flexible during shaping while still retaining that nice bite.

    6:30 damn, how sad is it that, even 6 months later, nothing ia being done to help Gaza... It's like the whole "developed world" decided that arab lives are worthless, and that killing 200 Palestinian civilians to rescue 4 hostages is a "successful operation"... Silver lining at least is that the whole world is waking up to the decades of propaganda aimed at making arabs look bad.

    Can yogurt be used instead of mayo? Edit: I'll answer my own question: Yes, it can, at least for the herby sauce. I used it on the Middle Eats recipe for Turkish inspired dry-rubbed kebabs, and it was delicious!

    This is why I like couscous as you have old world cooking which is able to be prepared under minimalist conditions. Add water oil or real butter cover and come back in 10 min.
